With the best efforts of Sri S'ad Vidya Mandal, J.P Arts & Science college was started in 1955 with a view to providing higher education facility in Bharuch. Still, the Management felt that there was a dearth of education in Commerce. The people around the district also shared similar view. Students aspiring for commerce degree had either to go to Surat or Vadodara. It was also unaffordable to middle class people.
Under the circumstances, in spite of other liabilities, the Mandal made a bid for starting a commerce college. |
